May 10th launches monthly celebrations, promotions and in-store activities.
Burlington, ON – Fairhome (www.fairhome.ca), located on Brant Street in Downtown Burlington, is celebrating its’ tenth anniversary this year and the store will commemorate the occasion over the next eight months with a variety of special events, promotions and happenings thanking customers, employees and suppliers.
“This is an exciting milestone and our success is thanks to our loyal customers, who have supported us through these ten years,” said Janet Sachade, owner, Fairhome. “This is a year to say thank you and celebrate with everyone who has been part of this business.”
Starting May 10th, customers can expect monthly promotions and in-store activities on the tenth of each month from May to December; monthly “gifts” from the employees to customers, and a celebration this Fall at the store, all to mark the anniversary. Details will be communicated via the store’s Facebook page, website and Twitter.
Fairhome has evolved from it’s original location in Oakville where it was a fabric store into the current interior decor and specialty gift shop that was established on Brant Street ten years ago. In addition to the store, Fairhome offers custom sewing and drapery, interior decorating and accessorizing services.
Sachade opened a furniture showroom this past year on the upper level showcasing a wide selection of Four Seasons furniture, Trade Winds Furniture, Conestoga, and Springwater Woodcraft. “The showroom is a series of inspirational vignettes that enable customers to envision how the pieces might look in their homes, to ‘sit in the seats’ and try different options for cushions, and take their time in a relaxing atmosphere,” said Sachade.
While the business has evolved to stay ahead of the changing retail environment, Sachade has stayed true to the business’ core values of personal service, attention to detail, sourcing distinct items, and being active in the local community.
“To survive as an independent business you have to be able to offer your customers something beyond the mass produced product. We offer our customers an experience at Fairhome,” says Sachade. “This experience is evident in the personal phone calls clients receive about new product, seasonal workshops and the carefully thought out displays throughout the store”. (Fairhome is a multiple winner of the Burlington Downtown Business Association’s annual Christmas window display competition).
Fairhome is involved in local downtown community events, and contribute their time and resources to local charity functions. Sachade is an active member of the Burlington Downtown Business Association.
“I think our customers appreciate that we are part of our local community; they can connect to me and my staff, and feel a sense of belonging to something bigger than just Fairhome.”
