Promises An Evening of Music Food Dance Mirth and Merriment!

Join us on Thursday, August 6 in southwest Oakville’s beautiful Bronte Village at Bronte Harbour (Bronte Rd. and Lakeshore Rd. W.) to experience Bronte’s fourth Lake Walk of the series (1st Thurs. of every month) started in May. Lake Walk is an initiative driven by a collection of the area’s local arts and culture focussed businesses (Trias Gallery, South Shore Spa, Ti Vesto), and supported by the Bronte BIA. It invites all to come and enjoy an evening of art, live music, dance, interactive activities and great food and drinks from local restaurants at over 30 participating Bronte businesses.

Led by BIA member Indira Roy Choudhury of Trias Gallery, she says “Why call it Lake Walk”? – “It is not about just taking a walk along the Lake. It is about taking a walk around the Village that sits on the shore of our amazing Lake Ontario! – It includes Ontario Street, Bronte Rd., Lakeshore Rd. and all in between – high quality businesses – with owners who have chosen to locate here in Bronte Village Oakville for business and to live here. We want to showcase this beautiful lakeside destination some also call HOME!”.

Indira invites all to visit Trias for a gallery reception to celebrate an Artist Opening for Ewa Stryjnik ‘Colourscapes’ from 7-9pm.

The Lake Walk is also proud to host a visit from the Musical Bike Ride which will start at 6pm on Bronte Road and then roll around the Bronte Village business core and harbour. This is an interactive art exhibit that engages patrons with its drums and percussion sounds. It breaks down all barriers with the universal (analog) language of percussion and drum beats. Thirty plus people can make sounds together and everyone is so in tune that words are not spoken…a magical experience.

Bronte Village is a designated tourist area in Oakville, sitting on the shores of Lake Ontario. The mission of the Lake Walk is to promote local artists and performers with a highly anticipated and recurring, free event with free parking in a beautiful community.

Experience the fun and hospitality at Lake Walk Thurs Aug. 6, 2015 from 6-10pm. and join us for Bronte Village’s Culture Days Sept 25-27.
