New Year’s Eve Events in and around Oakville and Burlington. Whether you want to head out on the town, into the woods or stay home, there’s something to do!

Burlington Festival of Lights
Snow or now snow – the lights always look pretty at night. Go for a drive, stop by your favourite bakery or coffee shop to round out the night.

Vitaly – An Evening Magic Wonders
Vancouver magician and illusionist, Vitaly Beckman is widely renowned for his dazzling talents. His personal goal is to “restore jaw-dropping wonder to our jaded generation by making the impossible possible.” Family show at the Oakville Centre.

New Year’s Eve Nature Hoopla
Mountsberg is offering a selection of family activities from 6 to 9:30 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. Take a wagon ride, view a puppet show, go on a guided hike, visit with one of Mountsberg’s owls, make a special New Year’s craft, or join in an old fashioned Country Dance with live music.

Hamilton Children’s Museum
The Hamilton Children’s Museum is hosting their annual Blue Year’s Eve: a family friendly party with a blue tropical theme. Games, crafts, refreshments and an early-bird countdown at 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. means everybody can join in on the fun.

Burlington’s Central Park
Bundle up for a full evening of fun at Central Park in Burlington. Free skating at the rink, an outdoor screening of E.T. plus an early-bird countdown at 10 p.m. followed by a fireworks display. Pets are not permitted.

Bars and Clubs
It’s pretty likely your favourite bar, club or pub is hosting some sort of fette for the end of 2015. Take your pick! Remember to be responsible and call for a taxi, Uber or use public transit to get home safely.

At Home
Ringing in the New Year after the kids have long been tucked into bed, grab some snacks and bubbly and sit on the couch to watch a TV special or just catch up on some favourite shows.
