International Chardonnay Day is Thursday, May 21 this year, and Niagara is ready to celebrate. Wineries around the region have great activities planned to celebrate the world’s coolest grape, and to kick off the Summer of Chardonnay.
On May 21, you have the chance to experience Chardonnay in a number of different ways including exclusive tastings of Niagara’s best Chardonnays, delectable food and wine pairings, special purchasing offers, tours of stunning wineries, and meetings with the Winemakers that make Niagara Chardonnays so unique.

Cave Spring Cellars – Visit the Tasting Bar during Chardonnay Day and experience the versatility of the sparkling wine Blanc de Blancs Brut paired with sweet and spicy popcorn. May 21st – May 24th – $5
Flat Rock Cellars – Enjoy a free tasting of any of Flat Rock Cellars’ current Chardonnays on the tasting bar, while enjoying stunning views of the vineyards the bar offers. May 21st
Henry of Pelham Estate Winery – Explore the influence of oak-aging and vineyard placement as you sip through a complimentary vertical tasting of the Henry of Pelham Chardonnay Collection.
Hidden Bench Vineyards and Winery – Taste your way through a special flight of Chardonnays, including library wines. During this weekend, guests will have a chance to purchase back vintage cellar chardonnays. May 21st – May 24th
Lailey Vineyard – Taste your way through five Chardonnays selected by Lailey Vineyard’s winemaker, Derek Barnett, to emphasize the versatility of this noble grape. May 21st – May 24th
