Makeology Spring Craft Fair celebrates its second annual event on Saturday, April 15, 2017! Curated one-day event featuring 67 of the finest handmade vendors taking place at the Hamilton Museum of Steam and Technology.
Be sure to visit 900 Woodward Ave. from 11am to 5pm to shop from some of the best handmade vendors in Ontario. Founded in 2013 by Melissa Lowry, Makeology started as an online group aimed at bringing together like-minded makers of things.
This historic fully accessible landmark offers 3 buildings, each rich with personality and charm. The 150-year-old Waterworks building preserves two 70-ton steam engines, perhaps the oldest surviving Canadian-built engines. We are so excited to call the museum our Hamilton home. “The Makeology Fair is a great opportunity to encourage tourism and build new customer relationships while supporting local small businesses – something that is extremely important to us. It’s your chance to meet and support these talented artisans and have the opportunity to purchase handmade and oneof-a-kind items.”
Makeology Fairs are eargerly awaited by shoppers and draw in crowds from as far as London and even upstate NY. The Spring fair will offer a diverse group of vendors, each with their own style and craft. Each maker was carefully selected by a jury panel—resulting in the best possible curated show.
Quality, creativity and above all craftsmanship are just some of the qualities Makeology looks for. The caliber of their products and their large number of followers speak volumes. We hope to bring in lots of handmade enthusiasts and provide them with a unique shopping experience.
2017 vendors, half of which are new to the Makeology family come from as far as Almonte and South of the Bruce Peninsula to be part of the first Makeology
market of the year. Join us for some amazing shopping and delicious food!
