Just in time for back-to-school, Craftadian’s Made in Hamilton market of crafters, returns to the beautifully retrofitted McMaster Innovation Park building on August 26, from 10am to 4pm with a special outdoor Summer celebration of all things handmade.

Featuring a carefully curated roster of modern independent design, including the best in Hamilton made jewellery and accessories, art, fashion, ceramics, illustration, stationery, home decor, cookware, apothecary, and more will be on show. “The desire to buy locally made goods by hand isn’t a new idea, but in our busy lives, supporting “slow” crafting lets us feel connected to our community,” says show director, Jacqueline Hunter.

Craftadian show infoEnhanced by a vibrant lineup of local food treats, soulful music by Hamiltonian DJ Aerlie Wild, an interactive photo booth, and all-around good times, it’s a one-stop community shop for the entire family.

Shoppers will find independent works by local Hamilton designers, including woven wall hangings by JM Macramé and Red Head Weaver, things made with nature by Terrarium House and Wild Blue Yonder, hand forged tools by Grab My Axe, handcrafted jewellery by Couth & Nail, Olive & Charley and Kathryn Dieroff.

New makers True Hamiltonian, Skulls and Broken Bones, Stephanie Street Soap & Skincare, and ElleMair Co will be on hand along with food service from Dimkin Crepes, Durand Coffee, plus a variety of food local trucks.

What’s more, Craftadian’s Made in Hamilton supports Food4Kids, a charity providing a solution-based program that addresses, responds to and diminishes child weekend hunger within Hamilton and Halton.

Tickets: $3/person. The first 50 families in line at 10am get a free swag bag filled with handmade goodies, and those in line at 2 p.m get a second chance to get free handmade swag!
