NOSH, Hamilton’s week of culinary adventures and events, returns for a second year in a row, from October 16 to 22 – presented this year by The Kraken® Spiced Rum. Local restaurants and event venues across the city will open their doors to invite the foodie community to indulge their palate.
Its debut last year saw 53 events – from Chef Wars, to food tours, to local restaurants crafting special menu items and offering unique food experiences. The event planners are confident they will see an increase in its participation this year as many new restaurants are opening up all over the city. Many returning restauranteurs and local businesses are already gearing up for the week, crafting ideas for what they will offer the community this year.
“This week gives us a chance to offer our guests a tasting experience that they wouldn’t normally see on our day to day menu,” says Matt Beasely, Chef of the Aberdeen Tavern. “NOSH has become such an amazing part of Hamilton’s culinary scene. Just being a part of it is fantastic.”
Not only is this a celebration of all things culinary, NOSH also takes place during National Small Business Week – a perfect opportunity to show thanks and support to the ever-growing list of restaurant owners and entrepreneurs in Hamilton. NOSH is still looking for food vendors, restaurants, and local companies to participate. If you are interested, contact nosh@hamilton.ca for more details. The full list of programming will be found on the NOSH website closer to the date.
