Ghost Walks and Dark History Tours

Hear different tales of ghosts, legends and dark history in themed walks from a variety of locations including the city core, mansions, a secret society, the ghost town and even a haunted forest at night.

Pumpkin Prowl
October 21
Pumpkin Prowl starts with kids games like pumpkin bowling and body part hockey and craft and activity booths hosted by My Free Hamilton, The Urban Zoo, Messy Play Studio, Determination Martial Arts, Erich’s Cupboard, and more. After the kids have played all the games and made fun Halloween crafts they can trick or treat around the neighbourhood to houses who have agreed to participate and hand out candy.
Haunted Halloween at Westfield Heritage Village

Halloween Spooktacular Sideshow

The Downtown Hamilton BIA invites you to Gore Park for fun and FREE things to do and see! Find your way through the hay maze, try your hand at the Halloween prize wheel, personalize your own sugar cookie, and dare to investigate creepy mystery boxes. See Little Monsters Face Painting do their magic, visit Urban Zoo’s reptile tent to find some creepy crawlers and don’t forget to see how mummies come to be with The Spiritorium’s mummy exhibit. Watch out for the corpse bride on stilts and traveling magician. All of this with a DJ dance party all evening to keep the party going!

Wizarding Workshop OR An Enchanting Evening

To celebrate Halloween, the Steam Museum Woodshed has been transformed into a school for wizards and witches for two amazing events.
Wizarding Workshop (6-12 yrs) 10am-1pm: Kids 6-12 are invited to take part in our wizarding workshop, where they will get to perform some supernatural science experiments, create potions, and make their own wand! Workshop will also include a visit with some magical creatures, a ride on our very own “Hogwarts Express” train, and a guided tour of the museum.
An Enchanted Evening (17+) 7-10pm: Come dressed as your favourite Harry Potter character and show off your knowledge through a trivia challenge, learn how to make a wand, and mingle with fellow Potterheads to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Philosopher’s Stone! Staff will transform the Woodshed into a magical setting ready for selfies, conversations and themed food!

Halloween Haunt

Kids can spot the pumpkins and receive a ‘trick or treat’ from the merchants and market vendors along Ottawa Street.
Pumpkin Fest

Enjoy a beautiful fall day at our 176 acre Pumpkin and Christmas Tree farm with a long winding lane way and rolling hills. Take a hay wagon ride to the pumpkin patch and search for the perfect pumpkin. Enjoy great food provided by “The Harvest Sandwich Food Truck” (non profit organization) Irresistible Baked Goods and Treats: Fudge, Peanut Brittle, Kettle Corn, Gigantic Delicious Cookies.
Ghost Tours through Caledonia

Since 2008, Ian Thompson has been leading brave souls through Caledonia’s historic downtown on guided, lantern-lit walking tours. The 2 hour tours support the Caledonia Agricultural Society Exhibition Hall Renovation Fund. Each October special tours feature real-life ghosts and ghouls that interact with tour-goers.
