The Mustard Seed Co+op is a place for community, education and all things local. With the community in mind they wanted to open a cafe to create more of a space of gathering and sharing. With the community behind them, they started a Kickstarter and fully funded their vision within a few weeks. The cafe was built by members, in funds, labour and love. Volunteer work bees took place for the construction of the indoor seating and outdoor seating along with the barista station, staff rallied for the behind the scenes and they’ve launched a great new space that fills a gap for those in the neighbourhood, with any other cafe space being outside of a 1km radius! All of their menu sources local products, uses local roasters and some of their ingredients are using mature produce to maintain a less waste policy. Grand Opening Celebration will have samples of feature beverages, a local beverage business will be there to do sampling along with Donut Monster mini donuts and prizes. See you there #Hamont !
