Downtown Oakville’s Core 1 has been the local region’s go-to source for ‘all things Apple’ since 1987.
Originally founded in 1987 as Canadian Computer Outlet (located at the corner of Trafalgar and Randall), its current ownership re-branded it to Core 1, with an eye towards the future of the company.
“We rebranded the store and moved to our location in Downtown Oakville, where we felt we would be able to connect with our customers in a meaningful way, embrace the community, and be a part of the historic Downtown Oakville, while also helping to shape the changing landscape of the community as we continue to grow,” said Nathan Arfin, general manager.
Along with being Oakville’s Apple Specialist Store, Core 1 has high-end home automation and audio equipment from brands like Sonos and NanoLeaf, as well as high-quality bags and laptop sleeves from Herschel.

What has kept Core 1 going strong for the past 25 years?
Our customers have always kept us going, and our drive to offer customers consistently exceptional experiences is what keeps our doors open.
Also, as with any successful local business, nothing would be possible without an exceptional team. The Core 1 staff works hard to ensure we’re meeting and exceeding customer expectations whenever we can. How has the Covid 19 pandemic impacted Core 1?
The COVID-19 pandemic affected everyone uniquely, and while our shop was certainly impacted, Core 1 was able to modify our operations to ensure that we were able to offer our high level of customer experience while keeping our team, our customers, and our communities safe and healthy.
Our changes were made with an eye towards our ongoing customer experience, not only for solving pandemic-related issues. With the pandemic acting as a catalyst, we have been able to bring new features, such as our online store at Core1.ca, our all-new ticketing system which enables more customer communication and transparency while their devices are in for repair, and our courier and delivery options, that are sure to be enjoyed by our customers for years to come.
Future plans for Core 1?
