Close to the water with a view of the lighthouse, Captain Robin’s all-day breakfast menu has a wide variety of omelettes and savoury sandwiches to satisfy any early morning craving. Try the Scary Food Challenge—an enormous mountain of breakfast items with a $30 price tag—if you can finish it all by yourself within 45 minutes, your meal is free! 

We love: Smoked Salmon & Swiss Crepe: Smoked salmon and swiss cheese in a savoury crepe, topped with hollandaise sauce.

Friendly service, tasty breakfasts, and a good cup of coffee keeps the seats full at Sunlight Grill. Their all-day breakfast includes a long list of pancake options including peanut butter, apple and even banana split flavour. Arrive before 10 am weekdays (excluding holidays) for the $5.49 breakfast special of 3 eggs, your choice of breakfast meat, homefries and toast. Hits the spot!

We love: Irish Eggs Benedict with corned beef hash, caramelized onions and swiss cheese.

With company origins back in the 1960’s, Wimpy’s Diner is full of fun 50’s and 60s themed items like coin-operated jukeboxes and unique vintage memorabilia. Lots of traditional breakfast items to be found on this menu, including a variety of French toast flavours and a delicious Macedonian omelette loaded with feta cheese, mixed peppers and diced tomatoes.

We love: Southwest Benedict: English Muffin, 3 poached eggs, 2 slices peameal bacon, grilled onions, sauteed mushrooms, cheddar cheese and hollandaise sauce. Drizzled with chipotle sauce and served with home fries.

Talk about variety! Kravings restaurant offers traditional dishes served with a cultural twist. Their mission is to bring their guests hearty, home-cooked comfort food with a menu that features Polish, Filipino and Mexican influences. You will even love their side dishes, which range from buttered pandesal to garlic rice and longanisa sausage.

We love: The Polski Benedict: two poached eggs, smoked salmon and peameal bacon layered onto a potato plaki and covered in hollandaise sauce.

If you are looking for an old fashioned, family-style restaurant, Orchard is the place to visit.  For over 50 years, their loyal following of regular customers keep returning for the “addictive” fries and the tasty corned beef hash. Lots of traditional omelettes, “benedicts” and breakfast combos on the menu.

We love: Cinny-Raisin French Toast Combo: two thick slices of cinnamon raisin French toast, with two eggs, bacon, sausage and home fries.

We love: Blueberry Waffle, topped with whipped cream and served with blueberry preserves.

We love: Meat lover’s skillet, with four kinds of meat loaded onto home fries, then smothered with cheddar cheese and topped with three eggs.

With seven locations across the city, Sunset Grill has a loyal following and a diverse, enticing menu. Insiders know about the complimentary “Dessert Pancake” that can be requested for anyone celebrating a birthday, anniversary or special occasion. They even do catering platters on request!

We love: Sunset Breakfast Poutine, a delicious dish of home fries, peameal bacon, sautéed onion and cheddar cheese, all topped with their delicious Hollandaise sauce.

With their tagline of “we’re always cookin”, Bobby’s Hideaway has been feeding hungry Mississauga residents for over three decades. Lots of great breakfast platters, benedicts and omelettes. While you wait for your breakfast to arrive, try to name all the celebrities you can see in the caricatures and photos that line the walls of both locations.

We love: The Big Bobby: 1/2 Pound ground round topped with Mediterranean baked beans and sauteed onions with 2 eggs, homefries and Texas Toast.
