Cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
Prepare the sauce by boiling carrots and potatoes, then add all ingredients bit by bit to a blender, adding a tiny bit more liquid if necessary.
When you sauce is creamy, put the pasta in a dish and mix with the sauce. Add any cooked vegetables as suggested below.
If you want to make it extra tasty you can add some bread crumbs on top, and put it in the oven on broil until they are toasty.
