On Friday August 23, at the Sovereign House in Oakville, local Oakville artist Kamil Swiatek, will be hosting Movement in The Right Direction, an exhibition incorporating the importance of movement and rhythm in music directly onto his paintings.
For this free exhibition, his new paintings have not been seen by the public. They contain a mixture of influential artists like Henri Matisse and Jackson Pollock with an addition of his own style. While painting each piece, he carefully selects the right music and musician to influence his brush strokes; allowing it’s rhythm as his paint brush.
The show runs for two weekends, August 24, 25, 28, 31 and ends on Sunday September 1. Gallery hours are from 1-4pm where he will be painting live. The Friday August 23 opening runs from 7p.m.-10:30p.m. Sovereign House is located at 7 West River St. in Bronte.
