4th Annual Veterans' Salmon Derby

Show your support for our Canadian Forces and Afghanistan veterans at the 4th Annual Veterans’ Salmon Derby! Experienced fishermen have donated their boats to host 50 veterans for a fun day of fishing on Lake Ontario. A free barbeque to follow. Prizes will be handed out for the top three largest salmon!

The event is presented by Havet, a non-profit, non-partisan organization, with a mission to provide an annual spectacular fun fishing day for military veterans and their families. The event also aims to raise funds for the Toronto Military Family Resource Centre, which provides supportive programs for veterans and families in need.

Join us at 6 a.m. at the Bronte Beach Park launch ramp to start the derby. The barbeque will commence at 12 p.m.
