6TH ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS DAY

The 6th Annual Environmental Awareness Day combines family fun with a community clean-up on Saturday, July 5th 2014 at the Oakville GO Station, 214 Cross Avenue. From 11am to 2pm, participants can enjoy a Barbecue by M&M Meats, donuts and beverages by Tim Hortons, live entertainment, giveaways, kids’ activities, and interactive exhibits about living ‘green.’

Beginning at noon, attendees are invited to join forces with the Clean-up crew to hit the streets around Oakville GO station. Volunteers receive a free t-shirt and free BBQ (high school students are also eligible to earn volunteer hours.) A drive-thru electronic recycling depot is available, making it easy to safely dispose of electronic waste.
