Bike Tour: Black History

Partnering with Whole Foods Market – Oakville, EcoPartners and Halton Environmental Network, this year’s ride includes a fundraising BBQ at Whole Foods ($8 per person) with proceeds to Cycle Oakville.

Cycle Oakville is hosting the ride for individuals and families who are interested in a leisurely tour of historic sites that help tell the story of Oakville’s role in the Underground Railroad. A 10-stop guided tour will begin at 10 a.m. at Taste of Colombia, 67 Bronte Road.  Or you can join the tour at Whole Foods Market on Cornwall Road for a barbecue lunch, then continue touring the remaining historic sites before reaching the final stop at the Emancipation Picnic.  Participants will also be able to tour the Underground Railroad Exhibition at Erchless Estate.

Got little ones who aren’t quite ready to ride on the road?  No problem.  Whole Foods Oakville will be having a kids ride in their back parking lot starting at 10:45 am along with face painting and other activities.
