Get out explore together on February 17! Here’s what’s happening on Family Day across Halton and in Hamilton:

Heritage Family Day in Burlington: Come celebrate Family Day at Joseph Brant Museum

February 17, 10am – 3pm

As Burlington’s heritage destination, the Museum is open for a very special family outing. Following the early Native and Pioneer beginnings of our community, two special activities are planned:

* create/craft a corn-husk doll version of your family

* learn how to cook bannock on our open fire pit with a special maple syrup dip

Also included are tours of the Museum and our special exhibits: ‘Mapping Burlington: The View From Here’and ‘Burlington Heroes’

Make Your Move Family Day in Oakville!

The Town of Oakville, Oakville Public Library and the YMCA of Oakville welcome you and your family to the sixth annual Make Your Move Family Day, presented by Genworth Canada. Build your tradition with us! Our Family Day event encourages families to “Make their Move” by enjoying the many benefits of leading active and healthy lifestyles.

Interactive!
Try something new! Swim, skate, rock climbing, snorkeling to name a few. The Town of Oakville has something for everyone.

Informative!
Learn how to draw or create a clay sculpture. Visit the Oakville Museum and enjoy traditional games and pastimes.

Integrated!

Sunset Grill – Fundraiser for Oakville Hospital

Location:Sunset Grill Oakville, 266 Hays Blvd and 361 Cornwall Rd.

Please join the grill for breakfast or lunch on Family Day at both locations! 20% percent of our sales on Family Day will be donated to Oakville Hospital.

Family Day @ The One-Room Palermo Schoolhouse

Palermo Schoolhouse, 2431 Dundas St. W.

The one-room school in Palermo is back in session! Drop by the Schoolhouse, home of the Trafalgar Township Historical Society. Help the Schoolhouse’s new Edwardian teacher decorate the classroom by making chains, snowflakes and snowballs from paper. Take in some old-fashioned lessons, write on slates, and participate in a Spelling Bee.

Family Day Activities in Milton

Hamilton Kids-Fest offers great Family Day weekend fun
Feb 17 2014, 9am-5pm at the Canadin Warplane Museum, 9280 Airport Road

Hamilton Kids-Fest — Canada’s largest indoor inflatable festival returns on Family Day Weekend! Blown up and ready for play will be some of North America’s largest indoor inflatable rides. Kids will jump, bounce, slide, crawl and laugh their way through the day.

All this, in addition to shows, interactive activities, games, crafts, character meet-and-greets, full access to the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum and more! Geared toward children 12 and under, this weekend will be chalked full of entertainment!

Included with your admission will be a number of activities and stage shows:
• The Urban Zoo
• Suzie Sunshine – children’s entertainer
• Juggle Magic – Magic and juggling shows
• Kids entertainers
• Children’s Market Place
• Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum exhibits and more!

And for a little extra fee, kids can enjoy:

Family Heritage Day in Hamilton
