Madeleine Peyroux and Art of Time Ensemble

Multi-million album seller Madeleine Peyroux has been dubbed “the 21st century Billie Holiday”, and has worked with some of the greats in the music industry, including Joni Mitchell’s producer Larry Klein and Steely Dan’s Walter Becker. She currently has five albums to her name including Careless Love, Half the Perfect World, and her latest, The Blue Room, which climbed to number one on the Billboard, iTunes and Amazon.com jazz charts in the spring of 2013. Art of Time Ensemble invited Madeleine to hand pick songs by her favourite artists expressly for its June 2013 concerts in Toronto, and perform them in brand new arrangements for an ensemble including piano, strings, guitar and saxophone. The result was a completely sold-out series of shows that mesmerized and enchanted audiences.
