Rotaract Oakville presents Band Night

Rotaract Oakville brings you Band Night; a fundraiser with live music focused on raising funds for The Lochan Memorial Library in Guyana.

At the beginning to the year, Rotaract Oakville started a book drive for the opening of the library in Guyana. With Rotaract’s contribution, over 6000 books were shipped to the library and it launched in May 2014. The library is 800 square feet and is managed by volunteers. The founder of the library, Mr. Ramprashad opened the library to give back to the community he grew up in but currently there are still water and electrical projects that needs to be completed. These projects are on hold due to lack of funds and Rotaract Oakville wants to help keep the library running by hosting this fundraiser.

Come out for a night of fun, live music, raffle prizes and a silent auction in support of the Lochan Memorial Library. All funds raised will support the ongoing water and electricity projects.
