For our Father’s Day weekend this year, we return to a smaller & more intimate event on the ramp at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum. Although not an airshow, there will be flying throughout the day featuring all of the Museum’s flying aircraft (including the rare Westland Lysander, Fairey Firefly and Avro Lancaster) with support from specially invited guests. These guest aircraft will be of the historically significant and rare warbird variety. Confirmed are the T-28 Flying Horsemen, the Commemorative Air Force’s B-24 Liberator “Diamond Lil” and the Military Aviation Museum’s de Havilland Mosquito, Sptifire and Hurricane.

For the Father’s Day weekend only, the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum’s Avro Lancaster will temporarily wear the markings of another 419 Sqdn. aircraft, “R” for Ropey (KB772, 66 missions) and will be flown in those markings with shark teeth on the Merlin cowlings.

Discounted member rides in Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum aircraft from the Tiger Moth, Cornell, Chipmunk, Stearman and Harvard will be available all weekend long. Member upgrades to flights are available on first come, first serve basis except the Lancaster which will be by advanced reservation.

We are limited to only 2000 tickets per day due to limited parking spaces. Don’t delay, buy your ticket today! Please remember, this is not the Hamilton Airshow, but Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum’s Skyfest.
