Start the New Year off with hundreds of dippers and thousands of spectators at Coronation Park in Oakville for the Courage Polar Bear Dip. Take the plunge into the icy cold waters of Lake Ontario to help provide clean water in developing countries.

Whether you come to Coronation Park in Oakville on January 1st to enjoy the live music and festival atmosphere with family and friends, take part in the dip as a wild way to ring in the new year or join us dressed in your craziest costume to win prizes and later see yourself on the news, it is all for a great cause!

Net proceeds from the Courage Polar Bear Dip have been given to World Vision Canada since 1995. In that time over $1,060,000 has been raised and has funded clean water projects around the world.

12:15pm
Shuttle bus begins continuous loop from South Oakville Centre (formerly Hopedale Mall) at 1515 Rebecca Street to Coronation Park
(park near The Beer Store)

12:30pm
Registration tables open (Please have your registration form filled out before you arrive at the park if you didn’t register online)
Live music from Whaling begins on the main stage

1:15pm
Costume contest held on the main stage
Categories include Best Individual Adult | Best Individual Youth | Best Group
Costume contest participants will be escorted to the front of the dippers line following the competition

1:55pm
Grand Prize draws held on the main stage
Prizes TBD (prizes courtesy of Shoppers Drug Mart – Third Line & Dundas)

2pm
Ready… Set…. Dip!

Post-Dip (Around 3pm)
The party continues at Tin Cup in Oakville with live music from Glenn Groves, food specials and raffle draws.
10% of all food sales on January 1st will go back to the Courage Polar Bear Dip
