ummertime, it’s finally here! Like
many members of our downtown
Oakville community, summer is
my favourite time of year in the
downtown; shop doors are open, patios are
full, and our streets are busy with families
enjoying the beautiful weather.
Many Oakville residents will say that summer
memories are filled with experiences they had
here; from that great deal you got at the Downtown Oakville Sidewalk
Sale, to the fun you had with your friends at Midnight Madness, and
the amazing music you listened to under the stars at the TD Downtown
Oakville Jazz Festival. This summer we’re building on those downtown
staple events by adding some new events and opportunities to make
summer memories.
In this guide we will explain some of the fun updates that we’re
making to Midnight Madness, and also introduce some smaller events
we will be hosting this summer. You will also find profiles of some of the
extraordinary artists coming to the Jazz Festival this year, and of course
no guide to Downtown Oakville would be complete without reference to
the many and varied dining options available to you here.
And, we can’t forget the shopping: Look Local Magazine has assembled
some ideas for kids, for her, for him and for the house to make sure you’re
all set this summer.
