The Burlington Downtown Business Association (BDBA) is launching a new season of Movies by the Lake!
Set against the beautiful backdrop of Lake Ontario, Movies by the Lake invites moviegoers to Spencer Smith Park for a truly unforgettable cinematic experience. Audiences can enjoy a free, outdoor film Tuesday nights July through August. Films are chosen with all audiences in mind, with genres ranging from comedies to dramas to adventure films.
Brought to you by the businesses of Burlington Downtown, this is a seasonal staple that is sure to capture both your heart and imagination. Treat yourself to night of summer wonder in our downtown. Enjoy a delicious dinner at one of our many restaurants. Treat yourself to a little shopping trip. Grab coffee with your favourite people. Explore Burlington downtown before heading to the park to grab a great seat for the show! Bigger and better than last year, cap off your night with an evening of cinematic wonder as you take in free, weekly lakeside movies. Spencer Smith also makes for an amazing picnic destination. All you need is your chairs & blankets!
In addition to our silver screen, Movies by the Lake offers moviegoers opportunities for onsite engagement to ramp up the experience. Joining the cast this year is our life-sized photo frame. Craft your own creative style while you walk the carpet each week. Strike your favourite pose and become the art in this perfect keepsake moment (and don’t forget to tag us on social!). Returning this year is our fan favourite: weekly movie trivia! Strut your movie knowledge stuff with friends and family, while enjoying a lake-side snack from Cine Starz Burlington.
