Hamilton Ontario Plein Air Artists 1st Annual Show & Sale

On Sunday November 12th,
2023, 5pm to 9pm the Hamilton Ontario Plein Air Artists will be presenting a
collection of work completed during our outings this year. The work reflects
the beauty and diversity of the Hamilton landscape including urban and rural
scenes. Plein air painting is
artists going outside into the landscape to capture the experience of the
landscape, in the tradition of the Group of Seven among others. We mainly visit
Hamilton area locations to do our painting occasionally we do road trips to
other places. Currently there are over 90 members on the Facebook
group, with approximately 2 dozen active members. 

20% of the sales will be donated
to Welcome Inn Community Centre in support of their programming. The goal of this event is to raise awareness in
the Hamilton community of our artists group AND of the excellent services
and community support provided by Welcome Inn Community Centre. We ask attendees of the event to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the Welcome Inn food bank program.
