Silver Screamers highlights the powerful impact of creativity and connection in later life by following a group of older adults who come together to do something entirely new.
Over approximately 18 months, the seniors learn filmmaking skills, collaborate creatively, and form strong social bonds as they work collectively to make a short horror film. The documentary challenges stereotypes about aging by presenting older adults as capable, curious, and engaged, while illustrating how creative projects can build confidence, reduce social isolation, and foster a renewed sense of purpose and community.
