Find Your Niche: Newcomer Career Forum

Scadding Court Community Centre is hosting networking and
career elevation event for newcomers- Find Your Niche: Newcomer Professionals
Career Forum- a one day networking and career development event created
specifically for skilled newcomer professionals looking to reconnect with meaningful
career pathways and to build social capital in Canada.

This event is especially relevant
for internationally trained professionals in healthcare, tech, engineering,
entrepreneurship, consulting, sectors who are looking to expand their networks,
gain industry insight, and access opportunities aligned with their education
and experience. Participants will have access to tailored résumé feedback,
career insights, and opportunities to connect directly with professionals and
organizations that understand newcomer career pathways.

This is going to be the full agenda of the day event:

09:30 AM – 10:00 AM – Registration: Sign-in, plan your day, and enjoy
light refreshments (coffee, tea, and snacks) provided by SCCC.

11:00 AM – 11:15 AM – Welcome and Opening Remarks

Options): 1. Career Coaching Session; 2. Panel Discussion: Pivoting- Moving into a New Career as an
Experienced Professional 3. Networking & Social Capital Skills Workshop. 

01:30 PM – 02:30 PM – Lunch Hour

02:00 PM – 03:00 PM – Simultaneous Programming (3
options): 1. Career Coaching (Session #2); 2. LinkedIn Headshots Booth; 3. Networking Session- AI-enabled
networking. 

03:00 PM – 04:00 PM – Networking and Coffee

in career growth and community connection.
